A+ Mobile STEM Lab
Introduction
Formal A+ Mobile STEM Lab (formerly known as the Intelligent Laptop Cart (ILC)) Initial Training – This is a half day of professional learning where teachers are exposed to the basics of the A+ Mobile STEM Lab. Two participants per school are invited to attend and be exposed to the hardware and software components of the base model A+ Mobile STEM Lab. This overview should allow the participants to be able to return to the classroom and begin using the tools on the cart immediately, as well as turn key their learning back in their schools. PLEASE REGISTER QUICKLY AS THESE TRAININGS HAVE LIMITED SEATING TO 12 PARTICIPANTS.

A+ Mobile STEM Lab
for Science
Formal A+ Mobile STEM Lab for Science Initial Training: This is a full day where teachers are exposed to the basics of the A+ Mobile STEM Lab and its scientific components. The morning portion is reserved for introducing the tools all A+ Mobile STEM Labs are known for that help teachers make the classroom a dynamic and engaging STEM environment. The afternoon portion of the day will focus on the specific Scientific components like the data loggers, sensor probes and the smart microscope. Up to 5 participants per school are invited to attend and be exposed to the hardware and software components of the A+ Mobile STEM Lab for Science. This overview should allow the participants to be able to return to the classroom and begin using the tools on the cart immediately, as well as turn key their learning back in their schools. A+ Mobile STEM Lab
for Pre-K
This is a full day of learning where teachers are taught the basic functionality of the A+ Mobile STEM Lab – covering both its Hardware and associated Software that allow Pre K teachers to act like a scientist and have their students learn through play. Additionally, participants will be trained in the use of the ABC Mouse software and their accounts which accompany all A+ Mobile STEM Lab for Pre-K. Up to 3 participants per school are invited to attend and be exposed to the hardware and software components of the A+ Mobile STEM Lab for Pre-K. This overview should allow the participants to be able to return to the classroom and begin using the tools on the cart immediately, as well as turn key their learning back in their schools. A+ STEM Lab Maker
Bot 3-D Printer
Formal A+ STEM Lab Maker Bot 3D Printer Training: This is a half day of professional learning where teachers are exposed to the basics of the A+ STEM Maker Bot 3D Printer Lab. Two participants per school are invited to attend and be exposed to the hardware and software components of the base model A+ STEM Maker Bot 3D Printer Lab and the web based platform “Thingiverse” associated with it. This overview should allow the participants to be able to return to the classroom and begin using the tools on the cart immediately, as well as turn key their learning back in their schools. A+ STEM Lab
NAO Robot Training
Formal A+ STEM Lab NAO Robot Training: This is a two, full day experience. A total of 12 hands on hours of professional learning where participants will be exposed to both the NAO Robot hardware and anatomy and its associated coding software. Participants will be immersed in learning by doing and spend two full days of exploration. Participants will set up their accounts, initiate the robot and load needed tools to enhance NAO’s capabilities and begin to create simple programs and be introduced to the ENGAGE Curriculum that comes with the NAO Robot. Up to 2 participants per school are invited to attend and be exposed to the hardware and software components of the A+ Mobile STEM Lab. This overview should allow the participants to be able to return to the classroom and begin using the tools on the cart immediately, as well as turn key their learning back in their schools.
